JIPMER Puducherry admit candidates to the MD programmes based on INI CET scores. Hence, the cutoff is released based on exam score and seat availability. In 2024, the closing rank was most competitive for MD in Radio Diagnosis course - 14. This was followed by MD in Paediatrics - 104 and General Medicine - 125. With a rank of 4429 and a percentile of 92.284 in the INI CET, your chances of getting a seat in Ophthalmology at JIPMER Pondicherry are moderate. In general, a rank between 4300-4600 is expected for this specialty according to previous trends. Cut-offs, however, vary each year depending on applicants and difficulty levels of exams. Be keeping abreast with the counseling process as is officially chosen and prepared to face new entrance requirements and respective results.

So actually, the open round counselling in INICET is held after the first two rounds of counselling. This is not for people who could not allocate a seat in the previous rounds, but for those who fail to attend counselling completely. Such a person will still have the option of getting a seat in institutes.

Yes. You can attend the open round if you have not attended Round 1 or Round 2. The seats at this open round might not be very many, and then your choices might not be as good as in the previous rounds.

All important details and timelines are published in the official INICET counselling schedule; make sure to check it out to not miss

Marks can be calculated with the existing INI CET marking scheme. With answer key, first count the total number of correct and incorrect responses. Take a sum of the marks of the total correct answers first and then from this total deduct the total marks of the incorrect answers.

No. Once allotment of INI CET centre is done, no such request will be entertained by the exam conducting body. The exam conducting body tries to provide centre selected by candidate during application process, but at times candidate get other than the selected centre due to various reasons. In that case also demand to change the centre doesn't hold merit. Candidates are allotted exam centre through the admit card. Apart from name and address of exam centre, the admit card comprises other details such as date and timing of exam, exam day guidelines.
