IHM Lucknow and IHM Chennai both accept the scores of NCHMT MSc JEE for admissions to MSc courses. Hence, the admission process is almost identical for both institutions, as the first requirement is candidates must complete their bachelor's degree/ BSc with decent scores, then they must appear for NCHMT MSc JEE, followed by counselling. Therefore, it is hard to determine which institute it is easier to get admission into MSc courses.
Additionally, the seating capacity for both colleges is also the same: IHM Lucknow and IHM Chennai offer 30 seats for MSc courses.

However, if candidates compare the cutoff for the years 2023 and 2024 will find out that the closing rank for the MSc courses has been decreased and the competition has increased. Hence, the cutoff trend of MSc HA showcases a rising trend. Check out the below table to get a clear idea:

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition Lucknow admit candidates to MSc HA courses based on merit in the NCHM MSc JEE exam. Candidates are shortlisted based on the exam score. A cutoff list is released to declare the minimum required marks for selected. Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks have to take part in NCHM MSc JEE counselling. During the counselling round, the seat allotment procedure is carried out.

Yes, for admissions to BSc courses at IHM Lucknow, it is important to secure valid scores in the NCHMCT JEE. BSc admission is strictly based on the score obtained in NCHMCT JEE. Admission to the BSc course at IHM Lucknow is entrance-based. Conclusively, candidates first will be evaluated on the basis of scores they have achieved in the entrance exam, followed by a counselling process.

To secure a seat for the BSc programme at IHM Lucknow, candidates must qualify for the NCHMCT JEE entrance exam. In order to be eligible for the exam, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with decent scores. Selection of the candidates is based on the NCHMCT JEE score, which determines their eligibility to secure a seat at IHM Lucknow for the BSc programme. Therefore, there is no provision for direct admissions to BSc courses at IHM Lucknow.
