Hi Harshpreet,
The basic eligibility to pursue interior design course is to pass 12th in any stream. There is no age limit. Admission will be on the basis of the score in the institute's entrance exam and interview thereafter.
Interior Design requires professional experience and training and certification by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification.
Some of the institutes offering interior design course are :
- Pearl Academy, Delhi
-Management and Design Academy
-Asian Academy of Film and Television
-Indian Institute of Art & Design

Rupa, Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design and Animation. Eligibility criteria to pursue design course is that you need to complete your class 12 if you are applying for under graduate courses and if you are applying for PG courses, then you need to complete your graduation. After that you may need to clear entrance examinations conducted by various design institutes.

Hi Sid,
As you want to purse your career in interior designing after 12th, yes you can go for it,as the eligibility criteria for the same is 10+2 pass in any discipline with minimum 50% marks
Their are institute which do offer degree courses. Some of the good institutes are:
1. Pearl Academy
2. IIAD,Delhi
3. Asian Academy of Film and Television, Noida
