Yes, that's true. The classes will start from 1st August and there will be really few students as Jamia will probably release 1 more list, that is, the second list.
But don't worry, no such studies would be conducted. The classes will be a time pass as the teachers will try to stretch them till August end. The admission finishes fully in the first week of September.

Accordingly, you can take the decision.

It's seems to be little bit impossible as college give preference to Muslims first. There are lots of quota for them so if you have any you can wait maybe your name will be announced.

General category students must have 50% or above in their graduation.

To answer your question, I need to know the course you are opting for in JMI.

It would be tough. My advice would be to watch out for other options and simultaneously wait for this one too.

For General category:
- 220+
- 170-200, you might get your name listed in 1st or 2nd waiting list.
For Muslim category:
- 150+
