Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) can certainly be counted among the best universities in Jammu for engineering, technology, and management studies. The total tuition fee is almost the same at both the institutes. The total tuition fee for the PG Diploma at IIMC Delhi ranges is between INR 47,000 and INR 2 lakh. At IIMC Jammu it ranges from INR 87,000 to INR 2 lakh. The mentioned fee is as per the official website and is still subject to change.

According to Shiksha's review life at Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research is good as the institute offers various facilities to its students such as a good wifi network, fully ventilated classrooms and others. The NIRF 2024 rankings are out. In the Engineering category, IIT Jammu has secured the #62 spot. Its ranking has improved from last year. In 2023, the institute was ranked #67 in the Engineering category.

Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University might be one of the best universities of Jammu for the local because of it is a state level university. BGSBU's rating is good overall 3.7 out of 5. Placements are quite good for some professional courses like B.E./B.Tech and MBA.
The infrastructure of this college is good, and there are separate labs for each department. Wi-Fi is widely available, and classrooms are excellent and well-equipped.
