As per the JEE Advanced eligibility for admission to any IIT, candidates must have 75% marks in class 12 or must belong to the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. The top 20 percentile calculation will be done for all the required subjects in a single academic year only. Therefore, candidates appearing for improvement in Board examinations can EITHER appear in one or more subjects and secure 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) after improvement, OR, appear for improvement in ALL subjects to be in the top 20 percentile of the corresponding academic year. The answer is Yes and No. You do not need any minimum marks in class 12 to apply for JEE Advanced. BUT, you will need minimum of 75% marks to take admission in any one of the IITs. You will not be given admission to any IIT even of you have qualified JEE Advanced by do not have minimum 75% in class 12 boards.
A candidate must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, a language and any subject other than the previous four) and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

It's important to note that the difficulty level of the exam is not influenced by the particular IIT conducting it. Furthermore, the exam's difficulty is not necessarily dictated by trends from previous years. Ultimately, the difficulty level is shaped by the level of preparation and understanding of the students taking the exam, as well as the opinions of experts and students alike. The perceived difficulty level of the JEE Advanced exam is subjective and can vary from person to person. What one candidate finds challenging, another may consider manageable, depending on their individual preparation.

The marks obtained by a candidate must be at a competitive level at IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology for granting admission. Required marks to take admission to the college keep varying each year considering factors like applicant number, examination level of toughness, and vacant seats available in that academic session. If you want to reset your JEE Advanced password, you can follow the steps below:
- Visit the JEE Advanced candidate portal at jeeadv.ac.in and click on the "Forgot Password" option.
- Choose a recovery method from the available options.
- Provide the necessary details based on your selected method.
- A new password will be sent to your registered email ID.

You can choose up to 6 exam centers in JEE Advanced 2025 application form based on your zone-wise preference. So choose the preferred centers of your choice while filling the form.

While registering for JEE Advanced, candidates have to create a password. The password policy states that passwords must be 8-12 characters with at least one numeric, one upper case, one lower case alphabet and one special character.

Yes. Candidates can use either their birth certificate or class X certificate to apply for JEE Advanced. Any one of them can be used as age proof in JEE Advanced registrations.
