However your 50% in class 12th may put some restrictions on your getting admission to many colleges across India government or private or both. Yes absolutely, the exam conducting authority National Testing Agency NTA from this year will be conducting JEE Main twice a year (January and April). If a student by any reason misses the first attempt, he/she can fill the application form for the second attempt. A student who has given JEE in January can also re-appear for the April attempt if he feels he can score better. So, don't worry you are eligible.
As per the information brochure release by NTA, the online submission of application forms will start from 08 February to 07 March. Keep an eye on the official website www.nta.ac.in or www.jeemain.nic.in.

I feel this is enough for scoring 60+ but you must be completely known with these books and the questions in it. Moreover, there are many big books for reference, if you are gonna write this year you won't be able to complete atleast half of those books of RD Sharma, etc. Well, these are very good for reference.

Based on the official information by MHRE, JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12th examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the class 12th examination.
If you are talking about class 12th board, then there will not be any chance as per the latest criteria.
