IIT Dharwad has released its cutoff result based on the JEE Mains exam 2026. For candidates belonging to the General AI category, BTech CSE cutoff 2026 was 36789 according to the first round cutoff ranks. As per the JEE Main eligibility criteria, candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one subject from the optional list of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical vocation course. South Asian University considers JEE Main scores for admission to BTech programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants can also get admission based on their SAU Entrance Test scores. It is a test conducted by the university for admission to BTech and other UG, PG and PhD programmes. Those who are selected have to confirm their seat by paying the programme fee.

If you belong to the General AI category, a rank of 7,000 could get you admitted to IIIT Trichy for BTech ECE 2026. The IIIT Trichy JEE Main cutoff 2026 was 29339, according to the first round cutoff data. So yes, it is achievable to get B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
