Nope, the engineering colleges here in Tamil Nadu admit students based on their 12th board marks (maths, physics and chemistry). To get into MIT once must score very highly in their respective board exams. The cutoff marks for students of Tamil Nadu varies from 197- 199 /200 depending on their preferred branch. However, when it comes to student from other state they have separate date for counselling with a slightly different cut off mark.

Hi,
Yes, you can apply. The government rules a candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PwD) categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. If you have a General PwD reservation in JEE Main then it means that you are Person with Disabilities of general category, hence you are entitled of 3% reservation as per rules. Further the cut off marks (Qualifying marks) for GEN-PWD in 2018 were 19.

You should have a rank around 300 to 500, if the paper is of 360 to 370 then you have to get minimum 300+ marks, but the matter of fact is the toughness of the paper, if paper is of tough level as we saw in 2016 then the marks around 240+ would be enough to get that rank. The reservation also play a big role in the seat allocation. You have to work very hard and you will get the fruit.
Cheers!
