NCERT is not enough to crack JEE Mains and Advanced. NCERT only helps you in chemistry only but not in physics and maths. For physics, you should go through HC Verma.

Nope. JEE is not necessary for becoming a pilot. To become a pilot, you have two choices:-
1. Through Indian Air force (free as you train with IAF).
2. Through Flight school (will range from 30 to 60 lacs).
There are various institutes in India who trains pilot. For flying commercial aircraft, you need CPL (commercial pilot license). After that, you need to do type rating on an aircraft before joining airline as a commercial pilot.

You don't need to write JEE or DCET.
You are eligible to apply for a lateral entry. But not all colleges have such window. Look for a college that have a window.
