To secure a good score in NCHMCT JEE, you should start your preparation at least 6-12 months in advance. However, the ideal start time depends on your current level and study habits.

Recommended Start Time Based on Preparation Level

  • 1 Year Before the Exam (Ideal for Beginners) – Best Approach

If you want a strong foundation and aim for top NCHMCT colleges (IHM Pusa, IHM Mumbai, etc.), starting 12 months early gives ample time.
Focus on concept building, regular practice, and mock tests.

  • 6 Months Before the Exam (Recommended for Most Students)

If you are comfortable with basic maths, English, and reasoning, 6 months is a great timeframe.

Yes, you can generally apply for a Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) based on your JEE percentile, but the primary deciding factor for TFWS eligibility is usually your family income, not just your JEE score; most institutions require you to submit income proof alongside your JEE percentile to qualify for TFWS seats.

Key points to remember:

Income criteria is primary:

While a good JEE percentile can strengthen your application for a TFWS seat, the primary consideration will be your family's income falling within the specified eligibility criteria for the TFWS scheme at the institution you are applying to.

No, it is not possible to get admission at IIITDM Jabalpur for BTech without a genuine JEE Main score. Applications have to be made through the JEE Main website and through JoSAA counselling for the allotment of seats. Institute fixes cutoff ranks on the basis of minimum marks obtained by candidates, and within the opening rank and closing ranks, admissions are given. Due to the stiff merit-based criteria followed by IIITDM Jabalpur, JEE Main is compulsory for BTech admission.

No, JEE Main is mandatory for BTech admission in Thapar University. The candidate should have a valid score in JEE Main and attend counseling to get a seat. But for other UG and PG courses such as MSc, MA, and MCA, admissions are made on a merit basis, i.e., JEE is not mandatory.
