The AEEE is a fairly easy exam compared to JEE Main / Advanced. However, to crack the exam, candidates should have good knowledge of class 11 and 12 topics that are covered in the AEEE syllabus.

AEEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses in campuses of Amrita University while JEE Mains is conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs.

In terms of syllabus, although both AEEE and Mains have class 11 and 12 topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, there are some topics which are a part of Mains syllabus but not in AEEE. Yes, students can get admission in IIT Mandi without JEE exam. But this is not applicable for the flagship BTech programme. For BTech admission at any IIT, students have to appear for JEE Main + Advanced exams. However, for the other programmes, such as MBA, MTech, BSc, etc., other exams are accepted.

Yes, students can get admission in NIT Srinagar without JEE Mains. But this is possible only for non-BTech programmes. To get BTech admission at any NIT, JEE Mains is mandatory. For courses, such as MSc, MTech, MBA, other exams are accepted. But for BTech, a student can't join NIT Srinagar without JEE Mains.

Once you have your JEE Main rank, you don't apply to JNU directly for a seat. Instead, you must participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling process. During this online window, you will list JNU as one of your preferred colleges. If your rank matches the university's cutoff, you'll be "allotted" a seat. After that, you'll visit the JNU campus for final document verification and to pay your admission fees.
