Qualification Criteria B.Sc. in Nursing at JIPMER requires an applicant to have a minimum of 17 years of age by December 31 st in the year of admission, and must also be of Indian nationality and have completed Class 12 with physics, chemistry, biology/botany & zoology and English as core subjects. If you're aiming for B.Sc Nursing at JIPMER, first of all—great choice! JIPMER is one of the most reputed institutes in India.

Now, regarding NEET: yes, admission to the B.Sc Nursing course at JIPMER does happen through NEET-UG scores.

General category: Around 400–500+ marks is usually considered safe.

OBC/SC/ST categories: Candidates in these categories might get admission with marks in the range of 300–450, depending on seat availability and competition that year.

To gain admission to JIPMER's BSc Nursing program, candidates must first register online on the JIPMER website, fill out the application form, pay the fee, and then appear for the entrance exam, which is conducted on the last Sunday of July.

The students applying for admission to the UG course need to submit important documents. These are required to verify the details provided by the students in the application form. The list of documents required at the time of application for the BSc programme at JIPMER Puducherry is given below:

  • NEET (UG) admit card and result/ rank letter issued by NTA
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Application form (with the application sequence number mentioned in the merit list published herewith)
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10 certificate/ Birth certificate)

The expected NEET cut-off for JIPMER is 

  • General: 137 above marks
  • OBC/SC/ST : 136 -107
  • General EWS/PWD : 120-107
  • OBC/SC/ST PWD: 120-108

No, there won't be any consequences if you decide to enrol in your B.Sc. Nursing programme at AIIMS instead of JIPMER. You are free to select the college that most closely matches your choices and needs. Students are not penalised by a centralised system for declining admission offers from certain colleges, particularly when they apply to different universities like JIPMER and AIIMS.
