JIPMER BSc Nursing Admission through NEET: Check Dates & Eligibility

JIPMER Nursing 2021 through NEET is a national level exam and will now be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2021-22 session. The new conducting body, NTA, will announce the dates for all the events to conclude the admission JIPMER BSc Nursing 2021 through NEET for the 2021-22 session. NTA has started accepting the NEET 2021 applications from July 13 and candidates will be able to apply till August 10 (extended). The national level entrance test will be conducted on September 12.

The JIPMER offers 94 seats under its BSc Nursing programme. Out of 94 seats in BSc Nursing, Nine seats are horizontally reserved for Male candidates and the remaining 85 seats are reserved for female candidates. The admissions will be strictly granted based on performance in the national level entrance exam. All candidates should appear for the common entrance examination. Seats will be allotted as per merit order. Nomination / Sponsoring of candidates by Government /Non-Government institutions will not be entertained under any circumstances.

• Candidates have to upload a recent passport size photograph along with scan copy of their signature in JPG/JPEG format with a size between 20 KB to 200 KB.

JIPMER Nursing 2021 Eligibility

JIPMER Nursing 2021 eligibility is decided by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. Eligibility criteria is the basic parameter set to assess the competency of the candidates to pursue the course. Below are the eligibility criteria for JIPMER Nursing 2021:

BSc Nursing:

• Candidates should be an Indian national
• The candidate should be 17 years of age as of December 31, 2021
• Candidates should have passed class 12 or equivalent exams from a recognized board/university.
• Candidates belonging to the (Unreserved) UR category, should have scored 50 per cent marks for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST), minimum of 40 per cent marks are required and for the OPH category 45 per cent marks are required
• Candidate should have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects in class 12

JIPMER Nursing 2021 exam pattern is designed by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. The exam pattern decides the nature of the exam and helps the candidate to understand more about the exam. The exam pattern also helps the candidate to make strategies to attempt the exam in the best manner.

JIPMER Nursing 2021 through NEET will be held on September 12, 2021. The online registration and application process will start anytime soon and candidates were able to apply by the stipulated dates by visiting the official website of JIPMER Puducherry.

JIPMER Nursing 2021 counselling is expected to begin in the last week of September 2021 (Tentatively). Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this year JIPMER Nursing 2021 counselling will be held online. The exact date will be announced soon by the JIPMER Puducherry. The JIPMER Nursing Counselling will be held offline. Only the shortlisted candidates whose names will appear in the merit list are eligible for the counselling round. In the counselling round, candidates have to be physically present. The Institute will publish the reporting venue and other details online. The Counselling Round will take place in various rounds. Candidates after attending the counselling sessions will be shortlisted for admission to the courses they will be selected for. Candidates have to express their choice for the course in the counselling if they had appeared commonly for the various undergraduate programmes like BSc. in Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing.
