Admission to postgraduate admission is done based on merit in GATE/ PGET/ AMPAI-W /WB-JE MAT. Postgraduate courses offered are M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. For MBA interested candidates must pass Graduation (In any stream) or equivalent examination from a recognised University/ Institute with a valid rank/ score of MAT (conducted by AIMA)/ WB-JE MAT (conducted by WBUT)/ AMPAI - WB.

Decent placements are provided to students at JIS College of Engineering. After 3rd-semester students become eligible for the placement and several companies like Bandhan Bank, Axis Bank, Primal Finance, etc. visit the college for hiring. Almost 80% of the students get placed. The average package provided was INR 400000/year. So many companies are visited such as Flipkart, TCS, Justdial, and IBM.

The eligibility criteria for BTech at JIS College of Engineering are as follows:
1- Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2- Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 in PCM.
3- Candidates must be at least 17 years of age. There is no upper age limit.

Yes, JIS College of Engineering accepts Joint Entrance Examination for Bachelor of Technology admission. In addition to Joint Entrance Examination, students can also qualify for admission with a valid score in WB-JEE or CEE AMPAI exams. The JIS College of Engineering application forms for admission will be out. The WBJEE 2023 application form will be available from October 8, 2023, to November 13, 2023.
The college has an online admission application form.
Students can apply offline by obtaining the prospectus and form from the college window.
