Yes, JNTU Anantapur offers an opportunity for candidates to get admission directly into the second year of BTech through Lateral Entry. In this course, the duration of this course is three years, where students can skip the first year of the course and start the course in the second year. Hoever, candidates must have passed a qualifying Diploma or degree and also have a valid rank in the ECET examination. JNTU Anantapur offers BTech (LE) course across 12 specialisations.

As per the official website of JNTU Anantapur, admission to the BTech course is based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET score. To secure admission candidates must apply for the EAMCET exam and participate in their counselling rounds. Further, candidates must also have a valid qualification, i.e., Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 45% aggregate. Aspirants with a 3-year Diploma and a valid ECET rank are also eligible to apply.

JNTU Anantapur does offers BTech in CSE or Computer Science Engineering. The course is offered at UG-level lasting for four years in a full-time mode. The CSE course includes subjects such as Java, Python, data structure, algorithms, operating systems, computer and optical networking, etc. 

Admission to the regular BTech courses is done through the Engineering, Agriculture & Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad. The final seat allotment is done based on TS EAMCET counselling.

To check the merit list for JNTUA, candidates can follow the steps given below:

  • Head on to Andhra Pradesh EAMCET official website "sche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET" for the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET Merit List 2024. 
  • Click on “AP EAMCET Rank Card.”
  • The pop up screen will appear where candidates need to disclose their details like date of birth, hall ticket number, and Andhra Pradesh EAMCET registration number 2024.
  • And then they need to select "View merit list 2024" to view the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET merit list.

A total of 369 students can do BTech from JNTU Anantapur. The seats are offered based on the final merit lists which are prepared based on the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam score and couselling. The seats can only be finalised after paying the course fee within the stipulated time.

JNTU Anantapur hasn't released any official admission dates for BTech admission 2025. However, candidates can refer to the accepted entrance exam dates. The university accepts Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam for BTech admission. Andhra Pradesh EAMCET application form 2025 will be released in March 2025, tentatively. The application form will be available on the official website. The application form must be filled out and submitted by the candidates online along with the application fee. The application process included registration, form filling and fee payment.
