Review of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Tirupati.
Placements: In this college, the placements are good. Students with above 8 CGPA are selected and placed. There are many companies hiring students. However, companies are not coming as much as in previous years. We can get better jobs.
Infrastructure: The hostel is on the campus. Last year, the college hostel for men was outside the campus. For boys, Wi-Fi is available, but for girls, there is no Wi-Fi. There are many games, and if you are interested, you can join the game team by paying the fee, and you will be selected.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are good at communication and are comfortable teaching lessons. They help students. The pass percentage is, I think, above 90%. They give more information. The papers are moderate and easy to pass.

I do seem to quite enjoy my time here in this college, I've made quite some good friends.
Placements: Placements are not very good in our college. The package is usually low for IT background jobs, and we get a low number of IT background jobs. If we do get them, the package is really low, or it's a non-technical job, so if you want to get a job straight out of college, this is not a good choice for you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not bad. There are trees all through the college. The labs are better this year so everything is fine. I am concerned about the cleaning because classrooms are not very clean and in some classes projectors work and in some they don't.
Faculty: Faculty is really nice. They tell you when you don't understand something, and they don't just read out of a PP. They actually use the board and write on it. The exams are good as well but we'd rather have more practical coding knowledge than memorizing a question and copy-pasting it in the exam.
Other: The events like hackathons and coding expos are good, but the fests are bad. They say they have hobby clubs but not really.

Faculty members at the college are friendly. I learned modern technology and worked on projects.
Placements: Around 50-60% of students got placed, especially in AI and CSE. The highest package was 40 LPA. The lowest was 4 LPA. The average was 6-7 LPA. Some recruiting companies regularly hired TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and HCL. For internships, 50 to 60 percent of students secured roles during their course in firms like local tech startups and service based companies. The common roles offered to us were Software Engineer, Data Analyst, AI/ML Associate, and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: Our department had decent computer labs. It had smart classrooms, a big library, and campus Wi-Fi. Hostel rooms were pretty clean. The mess food was average. We had basic medical aid, regular campus events, and good sports grounds for cricket, badminton, and volleyball.
Faculty: Most teachers were helpful and qualified. The AI, CSE, and the curriculum were relevant, but we needed self-study to be industry-ready. Semester exams were moderately difficult, requiring a week or two of preparation. The pass percentage was around 80%.
Other: I chose AI and this course because of the booming tech career scope. The best part was learning modern tools and working on projects with friends. However, the college administration could be slow. Campus life was lively with fests, a diverse crowd, and active student clubs.

College is good, I would rather not say it's best.
Placements: Placements depend on the individual marks and their performance or how well they perform and build up their skills, doing internships, participating in hackathons, and presenting themselves, so placements are favourable only for bright students. Merit students in our college.
Infrastructure: Labs, Wi-Fi, and library infrastructure are good in both the hostel and college, but the college hostel is only available for girls, and it's not too bad. They maintain it well but the fee might be a little high and a bus is provided as it is 5 kilometres away from the college.
Faculty: Everything goes as per the schedule, as the college is affiliated to JNTUH, so we follow the JNTUH curriculum, but as the college is autonomous, there might be quite a few changes sometimes and all the exams are strictly taken care of. The faculty is also experienced.

My college learning experience and campus life.
Placements: The placement opportunities for our course are reasonably good. Students get opportunities in IT, core electronics, software, and technical roles. Recruiting companies include Tata and Wipro. Top roles are Software Developer, Embedded Engineer, and Electronics Engineer. Internship opportunities are also provided to students through companies and training programs.
Infrastructure: The college provides adequate infrastructure for ECE and other courses. It includes classrooms, laboratories, computers, and internet, which help with practical learning. The department has laboratories. These help students understand and gain knowledge about electronics, communication, embedded systems, and IoT. The hostel provides basic accommodation and essential facilities. The mess and canteen provide regular food.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and supportive in helping students gain knowledge. They explain concepts clearly and guide practical sessions and projects. ECE curriculum covers important technical subjects. It provides a good foundation for the industry. Semester exams are based on the syllabus. Regular preparation helps students perform well.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the core side, like VLSI design, and want to gain knowledge about both software and hardware. More practical knowledge about electronics can improve the course. The campus surroundings are good. The college celebrates many events and fests, which also help students gain knowledge through extracurricular activities.
