I'm sorry, but you will not be able to secure admission to MMS with this score. PGDM does not accept MAT (only CAT, XAT and CMAT) are accepted.

In PGDM, the first year will be general management. As such, you'll get a grounding in all areas of management including Marketing, HR, Finance and Operations. In FS, most of the concentration right from first year is on finance. So a person who is very sure about pursuing a career in finance might find FS more useful than PGDM Finance. However, I would suggest a person who's not so clear or would like a more diversified knowledge base to select PGDM Finance. Rest assured, both courses ensure that students get a thorough foundation of finance knowledge and are eligible for placements in all finance profiles.

The placements have been great this year. The average package was Rs 9.3 lakhs. We don't calculate the placements separately for courses, as RM students are essentially Marketing students, and are eligible to sit for all marketing profiles.

The waitlist movement is expected to start next week. You have a high chance of converting FS, if you want to take up finance as a specialization.

You need a minimum of 50% in your graduation in order to be eligible for PGDM. As to the future of the course, it gives you an equivalent of an MBA degree, which is required by most organizations if you want to get into a managerial position. The scope depends on the specialization you choose, which depends on your inclination (Marketing, Finance etc.)
