Yes, students can prepare for the KMAT exam along with the CAT exam. However, CAT is comparatively a difficult MBA exam. The difficulty level of KMAT is easy to moderate, but CAT retains high difficulty levels. Students can use CAT books for KMAT preparation

Nirmala College of Management Studies accepts entrance exam scores for admission. KMAT is one of the accepting exams for admission to MBA. Candidates with CAT or CMAT scores can also get a seat in MBA provided they also meet the eligibility criteria.

No, writing the KMAT is not compulsory for applying to MBA colleges in Karnataka. However, very few colleges offer direct admission for MBA courses. So, students should opt for MBA entrance exams such as KMAT, Karnataka PGCET, CAT, XAT, MAT, etc.

Total score of KMAT exam is 120. Each section carries 40 marks. Each question carries one mark.

Rajagiri Business School accepts CAT/ GMAT/ KMAT KERALA/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT scores for admission to PGDM courses. The admission process also includes GD/ PI and Business Aptitude Test conducted by RBS.

No, KMAT scores are not compulsory for admissions into the MBA course at KSM, Karunya University. There are other scores too, on which school looks upon for selecting the students. Those entrance exams are XAT/CAT/MAT. Thus, students with good scores in any of the following can enroll in the MBA course at KSM.

KMAT application fee 2026 is INR 873.60, including GST and processing fee. Students can pay application fee online using online methods. Application fee is same for all categories.

General requirements for MBA admission in Karnataka that accept KMAT scores are:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor degree or an equivalent in any discipline from a recongised university with a minimum CGPA of 50% or equivalent aggregate
  • Karnataka MBA schools take into account KMAT result; such students must match KMAT cutoff of the participating college
