No, the Karunya Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is not compulsory to get admissions into the MBA course at Karunya University. Candidates with valid scores on the CAT/ MAT/ XAT (minimum MAT Score - 400 or CAT/ XAT- 50 percentile) can also get admission into MBA courses. Therefore, KMAT can be considered as one of the competitive exams for admission to MBA courses. However, not the compulsory one.

Presidency College offers MBA as a PG level programme in full-time mode for the duration of 2 years. The College offers MBA on the basis of minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation and valid scores of accepted entrance exams such as KMAT/ Karnataka PGCET or equivalent. It is not mandatory to appear for one particular exam. However, candidates must score well in which ever equivalent exam they opt for.

MSRIT MBA admission is based on the candidate's scores in the accepted entrance exams. KMAT is one of the accepted entrance exams for MBA admission at the institute. However, candidates who have not appeared for KMAT can still apply for MBA at MSRIT, provided they have a valid score in CMAT/ PGCET/ MAT. Appearing for any one of these exams is mandatory.

Candidates must access the official KMAT exam website and use their application number together with their password to obtain their admit card. Candidates should download their admit cards from the official KMAT exam website after the registration process and fee payment have been completed. The admit card becomes available to applicants approximately several weeks before the exam schedule. One must first log in before finding and verifying the admit card download link and downloading the PDF file. KMAT is one of the top exams accepted by many MBA offering colleges. One of the institutes is the Presidency College. As per official sources, Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has released the KMAT exam schedule for the 2026 session. As per the schedule, the first session of the exam was held in Feb 2026.

KMAT 2025 registration will likely begin in the second week of June 2025. The KMAT applications form will be released on the official website of KMAT India. The exam dates for the KMAT exam will be announced online too.

The KMAT result date for R.R. Institute of Advanced Studies has already been announced for the 2024 session. The results for session 1 were declared on October 10, 2024, and the session 2 results were released in the third week of November 2024. However, for the 2025 session, the KMAT exam is scheduled to be held on May 31, 2025, for ME/MTech/MArch courses and on June 22, 2025, for MBA/MCA courses. The result of 2025 is expected to be announced after the exam, but an explicit date has not been confirmed yet.

The vital dates for KMAT registration and examination with respect to R.R. Institute of Advanced Studies for its MBA/PGDM programme are: KMAT 2025 registration is likely to start in June 2025, with the last date to submit the application form also likely to fall somewhere in September 2025. The KMAT 2025 test is likely to occur in the month of October 2025, with results expected to be released by November 2025. The exact dates will be notified shortly by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges' Association (KPPGCA).

Yes, if candidates are planning to get admission into an MCA course at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. They are required to appear and score well in the KMAT entrance exam. However, not only KMAT scores are compulsory for admission to the MCA at DSCE. The college accepts the scores of other entrance examination too, i.e., PGCET. Hence, candidates with valid scores in any of the entrance exams can get admission into MCA courses.

KMAT Cutoff for International Business College

 

Neither instituting the KMAT cutoff for the Global Business School is fixed and it changes every year, it is determined by a blend of the number of candidates at the objective examinations, the level of difficulty of the exam (difference for quant, reasoning, language, and computer), and the number of available seats in the batch. Once the KMAT 2024 scores will be declared, the specific cutoff will come out, around the third week of November 2024 to be precise.
