The examination for KMAT - Karnataka management admission test- does not have more than one round. It is single test which serves as entrance exam for students seeking admission to MBA programs in their respective institutes. Further, candidates scoring minimum qualifying marks (10% of total marks for general category, which is 72 out of 720) in the test will be eligible for further processes like Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI); depending on specific process set by the institution.

A minimum cutoff of 60 per cent is required for applying for admission into the college. The cutoff is the highest for programmes in the stream of Business management and is usually around 88 to 92 per cent in the KMAT entrance examination. The cut off varies depending on the course considered the least is for programmes like B.A, B.Sc, etc.

Yes, Soundarya Institute of Management and Science (SIMS) welcomes the MBA programme without KMAT examination. The institute gives direct admission based on merit with the students holding graduation degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in graduate studies. Apart from KMAT, the Karnataka PGCET exam scores are also acceptable; however, the admission is based on a set procedure and more charges are involved. All communications regarding specific admission procedures should be directed to institutes as they may impose certain fee charges on admittance, apart from others.

The KMAT Karnataka cutoff varies for each participating institute. There are different factors considered while determining the cutoff and some of them are listed below:

• The total number of seats
• The total number of students who appear for the KMAT exam.
• The difficulty level of the KMAT exam 2024
• Previous year cutoff trends
• Category of the aspirant

The KMAT Kerala exam 2026 has concluded. The KMAT is conducted for admission to the top management colleges in Kerala.  

The session 2 registration for the KMAT exam is underway and will conclude on November 10, 2024. The KMAT application process 2024 started on June 22, 2024. The registration process continued for two months. The last date to fill out the KMAT application form was September 17, 2024. The KMAT application forms were released on the official website of KMAT India every year. The exam dates for the KMAT exam were announced later. Candidates need to submit their KMAT application form before the deadline. 

The Karnataka KMAT 2024 results are anticipated to be announced in the second week of October 2024. Candidates would be to check their results online by logging in with their application number and date of birth provided during registration

Yes, students from any region in the world can apply for the KMAT exam. Being a citizen of India to appear for the KMAT Karnataka exam is not mandatory. Candidates can apply for KMAT irrespective of their locality status/residential address. Earlier, KMAT eligibility as prescribed by KPPGCA, stated that only candidates residing in Karnataka can apply for the exam. KPPGCA has removed the domicile criteria now.
