The total course fee for the three-year BSc at KSOU is INR 44,484. Yes, students purusing a BSc at KSOU are eligible for scholarships if they belong to the SC/ST/OBC category. These scholarships are provided in the form of fee reimbursement by the Social Welfare Department. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category have to pay the BSc fee at the time of admission. Later, they can apply for a reimbursement of the paid fee on the State Scholarship Portal. Additionally, BSc students who are BPL Holders (Women), Defense & Ex-servicemen, Auto/Cab Drivers & their families, and KSRTC/BMTC/KKRTC staff are provided a fee concession of 10% on the tuition fee.

Submitting the documents proving the eligibility of applicants is an important step in the KSOU application process. The following documents shall be submitted by the applicants seeking admission to the BSc programme:
- Photocopy of SSLC/Class 12 mark sheet
- Photocopy of mark sheet of PUC or its equivalent
- SC/ST caste certificate (if applicable)
- BPL card (in case of women candidates)
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar Card
- Two stamp size and two passport size photos should be submitted at the time of verification

Candidates belonging to any one of the following three categories are exempt from paying fees at KSOU:
- Transgenders
- Blind Candidates (Except for MBA & B.Ed)
- Children from families deceased in Covid-19
To avail of the fee exemption, candidates must submit suitable documents supporting their eligibility. Addionally, SC/ST/OBC candidates are eligible for fee reimbursement from the Social Welfare Department. Applications for fee reimbursement can be submitted on the State Scholarship Portal.
