For Bachelor's degrees, yes you usually need C1 level German. For Master's degrees, no many public universities offer courses 100% in English. Learning basic German (A1/A2) is highly recommended for daily life (shopping, making friends).

Usually, a German Grade of 2.5 is safe. This is equal to roughly 70% to 75% in the Indian system. Some universities like THWS might accept lower grades if you have good work experience.

No, it is not hard to get admission in German Public Universities. All you need is to choose the right university. If you apply to NC-free universities you will get admission easily. But you need to meet minimum admission requirements.

In raw marks (out of ~800):

  • Very good chance: 600–700+

  • Decent chance: 520–600

  • Borderline: below 500

BA LLB is competitive, so higher GT + English score matters a lot.

For BA (Programme) (NOT Hons)

You can apply for BA Programme in many universities.

 Required Score

  • 70–85 percentile is usually enough

  • Raw marks: 500–600+

For BA (Hons) Political Science / History (DU)

Not possible at DU, because:

  • You did not study Polity or History in Class 12

  • DU requires the same domain subject

(Some other universities may allow it, but DU does not.)

 What Matters MOST for You

Since you don't have Polity/History:

Focus on BA LLB

  • Maximize E
