The candidates will have to prepare for the upcoming entrance examination by referring to the official HP LEET syllabus. As per the official syllabus of HP LEET, the candidates will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is to be noted that the HP LEET syllabus will be based on the syllabus of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education for Matriculation. All of the mentioned topics have to be studied carefully to have a higher chance of performing well in the exam.

A lateral entry admission is one where a student directly enters in the second year of his engineering, MCA or MBA, etc. degrees. Each degree has its own admission criterion. For example for B.Tech, lateral entry candidate must have completed a Diploma in their respective branch or B.Sc in PCM to be eligible for the lateral entry programme. Candidates after completing their Diploma, have to appear for LEET (a special examination for enrollment in the engineering colleges offering lateral entry for B.Tech). Few states conduct their own LEET examination. You've go through various rounds in order to get approved for counseling.

It completely depends on the discretion of the University and college. One cant state if it is possible without having all details so you can get in touch with your current college and know about lateral entry procedure to other university and then confirm from the University you wish to apply for.
