One must have completed his 1st year without any backlog/reappear. *One should have the minimum percentage required in eligibility qualification of current year (in which student is seeking migration). *Student has to submit Migration certificate and Character certificate from head of present institute / university from which he/she is migrating. *Mapping of transcripts is done and for this one has to pay mapping charges. If this goes well and there are no issues in mapping, one can join the university. *After joining he is supposed to spend 2 or more years in university.

In an open or distance learning university, a student has choice of selecting any branch. However a word of caution. UGC has not allowed any professional courses to be run via distance education. Hence I would like to caution you before you take the plunge into admission for graduation in engineering via distance learning. Best wishes.

There is no difference between regular BCA and lateral entry BCA if the course is done from a recognised university or institute. Lateral entry BCA graduates can get jobs which a regular BCA graduate get. Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level developer and testers role. BCA graduates may get a junior developer or application support jobs. Syllabus of BCA includes courses on computer languages, data structure, databases and networking, etc. BCA degree course programme is primarily focused on in the field of computer applications. BCA degree can only help you to get only entry-level jobs and will require the acquisition

Hello Anjali,
It's very nice to see that you are interested in pursuing graduation in engineering after completion of your Diploma in engineering. The fees charged by majority of colleges for different branches of engineering is almost same. Though it differs widely with institute or university. Fees in general vary from about 2.5 L to 5L for four year course. For lateral admission it would be proportional to three years since fee is same for direct or lateral admission students.
