Admissions are being done on the basis of Common Entrance Testa (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh IP University as per government rules. Around INR. 2 Lakh students apply for the CET and 70000 students qualify for the admissions in GGSIPU. Out of this, a few sharp minded students having up to 4500 rank in CET get a chance for admission in GBPEC. Hence, there is no lateral entry scheme in GBPEC for B.Tech courses.

Dear Kanishk
Yes, it offers lateral entry admissions to Diploma engineering students. But limited branches are there. Don't expect to get the same branch as you have in your Diploma engineering. Moreover, it also provides 4 year Evening B.Tech, a different program. Branches are Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics only. I think you got your answer. For detailed information please visit www.dtu.ac.in.

Why to go for B.Sc? I mean, you should not switch from engineering to science. Go for NIELIT B Level. B LEVEL is equivalent to B.Tech or MCA. Regards.

Hello Ankur,Actually, I have not understood your query. You are asking, what is the difference in mark sheet, between regular and lateral entry engineering graduation courses. Right? Let me clarify you that there is absolutely no difference between engineering graduations done through regular or lateral entry. This is so, since the students join exactly the same class in the second year, as the students who have joined in 1st year will now be doing. When you are studying with them, preparing with them and giving exactly same exam. As a result of this, you will get exactly same type of mark sheet when you pass out. Let me assure, you ha

Hi, In Tamil Nadu, the lateral admissions are processed centrally by one of the assigned Government College by Anna University. You will have to apply online and based on the marks obtained in Diploma, you will get admission in one of the colleges. The vacancies for lateral admission are also announced at the time of seeking applications online and till then nobody can tell where are the vacancies and how many are these. Hence, I suggest for you to wait for the announcement by Anna University for opening admissions for lateral method.

There are two ways to join as a lateral entry student.
1. After Diploma you can apply throw' counseling which will be conducted at Alagappa Chettiyar University, Karaikudi. Counseling call depends on your Diploma final year percentage. If you received a call for the first day counseling or topped with a rank of at least below 10, you're almost have a chance to get a seat at PSG Tech. Your final year percentage should be more than 96 if you're a general category applicant. For BC/MBC it should be more than 94%. For SCA/SC/ST more than 92 is enough.
2. Throw' management quota. Fees for this entry may depends on the branch of engineering.
