Yes, it is possible to get admission in B.Tech on the basis of lateral entry. Eligible candidates are required to appear for the LEET exams. Engineering Colleges/Universities offering LEET admissions are:
* Punjab University - Chandigarh
* IP University - Delhi
* Delhi Engineering College - Delhi
* Punjab University - Patiala
* KIITS University
* Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology - Patiala
* Government College of Engineering - Pune
* Punjab Technical University - Jalandhar
* Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College - Ludhiana
* Sant Longoval Institute of Engineering and Technology - Sangrur
* Anna University - Tamilnadu, etc.

As per AICTE rules, professional courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and LLB are not subject to part-time admission, you have to do it in regular mode, but you can take admission through lateral entry if you have done your Diploma.

Hello Pratyush,
In general, civil engineering is for those who do 10+2 system rather than Diploma. And civil engineering (lateral entry) is for those who have completed Diploma. Lateral entry is admission directly into the second year of engineering. For that, He/she must have completed a Diploma in their respective branch to be eligible for the lateral entry programme. One may also need to clear the entrance exams if required.
