No, NITs don't provide any lateral entry, you need to attempt only JEE Mains to get admission in its undergraduate course. However, for the admission procedure details, refer to their official website.

Admission is through counseling based on the rank obtained in the KIITEE. Eligible candidates need to appear for the KIIT Entrance Exam KIITEE conducted by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. Interested candidates can apply online with the required information. Eligibility:
Candidate must have completed 10+2 with science stream/ Vocational /Technical form a recognized board are eligible.
Candidate having 10th with 2 years ITI in a relevant specialization are eligible for the lateral entry. Regards.
