A candidate must fulfill all the eligibility criteria to get admission in B.Tech. Lateral Entry programme at Lucknow Institute of Technology. One should have three years Engineering Diploma from any recognised institute and must have scored at least 45% marks, whereas in case of SC/ST category, they need at least 40% marks or a B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as a subject. Basically most of the students do their Diploma in computer Science then they go in B.Tech in computer science.

If you want to do B tech in electrical engineering after Diploma in computer Science then you can do.

Yes, you can get. Direct admission to 2 nd year of B.Tech program is conducted through a direct counseling round. This is held after the CAP-3 round of CET cell.

Candidates applying for the B.Tech (L.E) must meet the following eligibility criteria -

  • Must have passed a diploma course in engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from the State Council of Technical Education of any state or equivalent.

The cutoff for the B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering (Lateral Entry) course at Manipal Institute of Technology (MAHE) is 45% in 12th and 45% in graduation. 

 Other entry requirements include:

Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the 12th

Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science as optional subjects in 12th

English as one of the languages of study in the 12th 

 Candidates who have awaited their results can also apply.

To get admission in B.Tech in an engineering college through lateral entry after doing a polytechnic diploma, you need to study the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing. 

Apart from this, you must also meet the following educational qualifications: 

You must have completed a three-year engineering diploma. 

In most engineering colleges, the minimum marks required in any of the diploma courses is 60%. 

If you have done a diploma in engineering, you must have secured at least 50% marks in the diploma course. 

Lateral entry means that you will get direct admission in the second year of a course

Students who have completed their Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm) with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to get admission BPharm Lateral Entry admission in Brainware University. Students in the BPharma Lateral Entry admission programme receives direct admission to the second year of the BPharma course.

The BPharma (Lateral Entry) programme is designed for candidates who have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharm) or an equivalent qualification. Lateral entry allows these candidates to join the BPharm course in the second year or the third semester. There is no such difference between the curriculum of both courses, as from the second year onwards the students study the same subject, no matter if they are either pursuing BPharm or BPharm Lateral.
