The Karnataka DCET examination is conducted for admission to 2nd or 3rd-semester engineering under lateral courses, and its scorecard is valid for only the current year. If you want to be admitted to the same university under the management quota, then there is no need to give the DCET exam again. For more DCET exam details, you may visit the Shiksha DCET exam page. Yes, you can take admission if you have recognised university Certificate and you pass out.
You need to check the eligibility and criteria according to the university's demand after you fulfill all criteria, you will be eligible for admission in university.

The BMLT Admission Process differs from college to college. Some colleges conduct common entrance tests and some give admission to candidates on a merit basis

Lateral Entry is when you have completed a Diploma Course after 10th or 12th and directly get admission in Engineering College during the Second Year of Engineering. Other Regular students join Engineering after completing 12th from first year. But you skip the First Year with a Diploma Course. Full time entry is regular entry MCA course duration now days is 2 years in major university but till some university like Andhra university offer MCA course for 3 year I will suggest you, you have many option in other university and college and save your precious year by enrolling in two-year MCA courses having same value and standard.
