To get a seat at Tamil Nadu National Law University for various UG and PG-level law courses, students have to first appear for the CLAT entrance exam and then sit for the counselling process to be considered eligible for admission to the BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. 

The TNNLU CLAT cutoff 2026 was released for various All India and Home State quota categories, like General, OBC, SC, etc.

Yes, for the students belonging to the ST category under the AI quota, admission is possible with a CLAT cutoff rank of 5000. However, the course and specialisation might vary based on the cutoff ranks and rounds. Based on the CLAT last round closing ranks, candidates can get a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and BSc. LLB. (Hons.) in Criminology and Forensic, with a CLAT rank of 5000. Although final admission also depends on other factors, such as reservation, seat availability, etc.

Yes, you could get into NLU Odisha with a rank of 900 if you belong to the General AI category. For this category, the NLU Odisha CLAT cutoff 2026 ranged from 800 to 1155 for the BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. Hence, students can get admission to this institution with the attained rank.

  • Click on the CLAT option on the top bar.
  • Go to the notifications section
  • Scroll to find the merit list for the UG and PG courses. 
  • Students can also log in to the CLAT portal to find their personal ranks and scorecard quickly and easily. 

Candidates should know that just having their name in the merit list does not guarantee admission. They have to appear for the counselling process and pay the required fee before the dead

The NLU Patiala cutoff 2026 was declared for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses for various All India and Home State quota categories. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 824 to 1141 for both the UG and PG-level courses. Students can refer to the table below to know the cutoff range for both courses for all AI categories.

NIRF scores Teaching+Learning (100), Research (100), Graduation Outcomes (100), Outreach (100), Perception (100) for all its categories, including Law. The Law rankings of NIRF in 2025 show three top colleges, with Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy  (SASTRA) in Thanjavur to be the best at rank 11. But it does not score higher on all the parameters when compared to the other two Chennai law colleges - Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (rank 19) and S.R.M. Institute of Science and Technology (rank 25).
