The exam authority conducts the AP PGLCET in a Computer-Based Test mode, where each candidate appearing for the entrance exam is allotted with a computer system to attempt the examination. The CBT is a form of online examination. Despite being an online exam, the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET is conducted across different centres in Andhra Pradesh. In 2025, Andhra Pradesh LAWCET will be conducted at 36 regional centres in 24 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The details related to test centres will be available on the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET admit card.

The AP PGLCET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test) is conducted once a year. It is usually held in May by the Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

The application process and form for the AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET are the same. However, candidates have to select the course they are applying for at the time of registration only. For both 5-year LLB And 3-year LLB Programmes, candidates need to appear in a different test (AP LAWCET) that will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. For admission to the LLM Course, candidates need to appear select AP PGLCET/LLM at the time of filling out the application form.
