To apply to LIT Nagpur (Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University), aspiring B.Tech students must register and appear for either JEE Main or MHT CET, while M.Tech candidates need to register for GATE and apply through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).

The total seats in M.Tech programmes at LIT University Nagpur are 60, and that is divided into specializations and each specialisation holds 12 seats. Thus, the M.Tech Petrochemical Technology, M.Tech Paint Technology, M.Tech Oil Technology, M.Tech Chemical Engineering, and M.Tech Food Technology provide seats for 12 students each.

Eligibility criteria for BTech in LIT University Nagpur are 45% marks in class 12 with valid JEE Main scores. The average return on investment in the programme is INR 5 Lacs per year, and students get placed in their final year of graduation.

However, according to LIT Nagpur NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during LIT Nagpur BTech placements 2023 stood at INR 5 LPA. A total of 116 students were placed during the 2024 drive.
