The pursuit of MA English Literature degrees is feasible through the education system of government colleges. Multiple government colleges alongside universities operate MA English Literature as a program of study. For example, the University of Delhi, a government-funded university, offers an MA English program with an annual fee of around INR 5,500-6,000. Jawaharlal Nehru University provides an MA English program that costs between INR 6000-7000 for annual fees. Most programs accept applicants using criteria related to entrance tests or merit-based evaluation.

The  USLM, Karnavati University cut off marks for BA (Hons.) English Literature is at least 50% marks in Class 12 from any stream.

The selection process for this course is KUAT test  and Personal interview.

 Some other eligibility criteria for admission to Karnavati University:

1.10+2 exam PASS  or equivalent a recognised board in India. 

2. OBC and SC/ST/PWD candidates, the required marks are 45%.

3. Reserved category 5% extra reservation. 

If you wish to pursue through regular campus than u must apply for CUET (PG) conducted by NTA every year in the month of March but application starts beforehand. Most of the institution induct candidates through CUET (PG) and u also have other options like many universities (e.g. Allahabad University) conduct their own entrance exams for admission to PG courses.

In India, the eligibility criteria for a PhD in Hindi Literature are a Master's degree in Hindi or related field. Sometimes, though not always, an MPhil or qualifying NET exam score is preferred. Several universities offer direct admission into PhD based on academic records of the Master's program, research proposal, and an interview process.
