Check below the Gujarat University criteria for LLM:

  • Candidates should have passed qualifying exam at the first attempt with at least 50% aggregate in the final year examination or exam of last two semesters of the degree of Bachelor of Law (Three years’ or Five Years Integrated LLB Programme) of Gujarat University or other Universities recognised and approved by the UGC to apply for LLM.
  • A candidate who has obtained LLM degree from Gujarat University or other universities in one area of specialisation will not be eligible to get admission in the LLM degree programme with the same or another specialisation.

To be eligible for LLM programme, aspirants must have passed LLB/ BA LLB (Hons) with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates).

 Admission to LLB & LLM courses are merit-based. Candidates must have done graduation with minimum 45% aggregate for LLB Hons and must hold LLB degree for admission to LLM.

The selection of the candidates for LLM will be based on the AILET score followed by university counselling. Candidates must apply for the AILET exam to get admitted to the LLM course. The university conducts AILET counseling based on the rank list released at the time of the result. In the counselling session, qualifying candidates are allotted seats in their respective law courses based on merit. 

Only candidates who meet the AILET eligibility criteria can fill out the AILET application form and take the exam.

The eligibility for LLM course at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is that the candidate should have a law degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate. Moreover, the entrance exam accepted include CLAT PG 2023 (Common Law Admission Test – Post Graduate).

To study LLM at Cambridge University, the applicants must meet the below-given entry requirements:

  • A UK First Class Honors degree

The university has not released the eligibility requirement to apply for LLM course at Allahabad State University now known as Prof. Rajendra Singh University. However, as per external sources, the minimum eligibility for LLM course is graduate in the field of law. NALSAr University of Law offers admission to LLM programme through CLAT score. To get admission to the LLM programme, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

1. LLB or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (For candidates belonging to General/ OBC/ PwD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI category),
or
2. LLB or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate (For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category).

The eligibility criteria for MA is, the candidate should have bachelor’s degree in Law or LLB of three-five years, and selection is based on entrance exam for PG courses. AMU doesn't accept any national level entrance exam, the University conducts an in- house entrance exam for the selection process, as it is one of the criteria for the admission process.
