Yes, you are eligible because most of the university do consider your Master's degree for the eligibility percentage in place of graduation. But, you need to check with the particular university for the admission process and eligibility.

A Bachelor's (10+2+3) degree (Major/ honors) or equivalent from a recognized university in any discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks or 5.5 CPI in a 10 point scale (45% marks or 5.0 CPI in a 10-point scale for SC/ ST/ PD candidates) in major/ honors.

In order to prepare for MA in linguistics, one should have thorough knowledge and command over the subject. The entrance exam for English will test your basic grammar and composition. Apart from this, fluency in the language will also be tested. Writing skills and comprehension will also be tested. All these are necessary areas to be improved upon.

You can pursue MA in English through distance mode. But, if you want to pursue MA in English through regular mode, then you might face some problem as most of the universities require Bachelor's degree in relevant stream or English as a subject in all 3 years of graduation.
