Candidates should know that eligibility can be different according to the courses. This is why they should check it. Failure to fulfill the eligibility can lead to cancellation of candidature.

Course Level

Eligibility Criteria

UG 

  • Students should have done 10+2 with PCB.
  • Minimum marks: 50% which can vary by institute/category.
  • Must qualify for entrance exams like NEET-UG.
  • Age limit: Generally 17 years and above.

PG

  • Should have a relevant bachelor's degree just like  BAMS for AyurvedaBHMS for Homeopathy
  • Minimum aggregate: 50-60% in UG.
  • Also students must qualify the entrance exams.
  • Internship completion is mandatory in most cases.

Diploma

  • 10+2  in any stream for general diploma; Science stream for Medical-focused diplomas.

Certificate

  • Open to 10th/12th pass students or graduates, depending on the course.

PhD

  • Student should have a postgraduate degree in the respective stream
  • Minimum marks: 55% and above in PG and relaxation for reserved categories.
  • Must qualify for entrance exams.
  • Some institutions may require a research proposal and an interview.

As per the requirement of eligibility for alternative medicine by IBAM, yes but before going for it please consider that these courses are not considered to be medical education by The Council of Medicine. Also, you cannot use Dr. before your name.
