The Doctor of Medicine MD course is a postgraduate doctoral-level degree in medicine. The duration of the MD course is two years at a medical institute. The eligibility criteria for the MD course are as follows:
1. You must possess a provisional MBBS pass Certificate or a completed MBBS degree.
2. You should have a registration Certificate from the State Medical Council, or MCI.
3. You needed to have finished your required internship before being admitted.
4. You must have received a minimum grade of 55 percent to be admitted to a medical institute like AIIMS.
5. You must have passed either the NEET PG or INI CET exam.

As government has implemented NEXT from December 2023, now doesn't matter from where you have done your course everybody have to go through NEXT. Whether you study in India or abroad, you have to write NEXT and after that only you will get your degree and licence too for practice. So you can go to some well reputed countries and study hard there, learn clinical skills and you can pass any exam.

The SMBT Ayurved College and Hospital of Nashik offers a three-year doctorate in medicine MD in Ayurveda. The fee for this course is as follows at S. M. B. T. college:
1. The tuition fee is Rs. 280,000 per year for three years.
2. In the first year, you have to submit Rs 30,000 as an admission fee, including other charges.
3. The total first year fee is Rs. 3.10 Lacs whereas for next two year it is Rs. 2.80 Lacs
4. The total fees for an MD in Ayurveda are approximately Rs. 8.70 Lacs at SMBT College.
