1. The students who have completed 18 years of age can join a degree programme.
2. Students must have a valid NEET card: Only the students who have qualified NEET exam can for study abroad option.
3. Students must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam with Biology Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 60%.
4. Good scores in IELTS or TOFEL as proof of English proficiency.
5. In Ireland, there is a centralized online enrollment system, known as Central Applications Office (CAO) through which students need to apply to undergraduate courses.
6. To study in Ireland, any student whose first language is not English need to prove his/her proficiency in the English language by giving exams like IELTS or TOFEL Students must score above 6.0 in IELTS.

Every hospital has its own rules with regards to compulsory services after MBBS or MD. The St. Johns Medical College Hospital began functioning in 1975. It is a private medical college and hospital situated in Bangalore. Candidates seeking admission must apply through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or NEET PG. The college's postgraduate courses MD last two years and includes a specific mandatory service in hospital or affiliated hospitals as mandated by St John hospital. Eligibility for MD in Homoeopathy: Candidates must have completed the BHMS (Direct or Graded) degree or its equivalent, as determined by the Central Council of Homoeopathy.

2- Candidates aspiring to pursue the course need to have a BHM degree with a minimum aggregate score of 60% from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India.

Its Department of Geriatric Medicine was established in April 1978 by Dr. V. S. Natarajan MD with the aim of providing comprehensive health care to senior citizens. In 1986, a separate ward for geriatric medicine was started for acute care and rehabilitation. The department offers an MD geriatrics course under affiliation with the Tamil Nadu DR. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai. The Medical Council of India has recognised the course since its inception. The department has been approved as a training center for training doctors in the field of geriatrics by WHO and is currently upgraded as a Regional Geriatric Center under NPHCE by the Government of India.
