Interested aspirants for the course must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
Masters degree in Geography or Earth Systems Sciences or in any stream of social Science
Minimum of 55% or equivalent marks at the level of graduation. SC/ST/OBC students must score a minimum of 50% marks
In some reputed colleges above 60% of marks in their Masters degree are eligible candidates to apply for this course. Admission to M.Phil. Course is based on merit and performance in entrance test and personal interview conducted by reputed colleges and universities. Thanks!

Admission to this programme is open to those who qualify in MET/GATE/UGC-JRF/UGC- Lecturership examinations. A Masters in Arts / Commerce (with 55% marks), or M.Sc/ B.Tech (with 60% marks with adequate background in the Social Sciences) is essential.

Candidates must possess two years Master's degree (minimum 55% aggregate) or M.Phil (minimum 50% aggregate) from any accredited Indian or foreign university in the relevant field with the required aggregate. However, in case of the Master's degree in the discipline of engineering and technology), an overall 60% aggregate is required at all academic levels.
