Hi Neha, If package is the only criteria, MS may or may not be worth, depends on your current package and future demand of your skill set. Saying that MS definitely boosts your take home. Many top universities are in USA but they are very expensive and living costs are also very high. Germany is the best option as the universities are not expensive and after completing your studies you can get job in top companies like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, etc.

Admission will depend on the nature of the gap and other important admission requirements like your percentage, test scores, SOP, LORs, etc. Typically you must have a first class for better chances of consideration. Below 50% is not considered.

More the experience, better it is. But along with it, you need to have good grades in your undergrads, good LoR, good GRE and TOEFL score, etc. All these things do matter.
