The final admission to MSc programme is either on the basis of merit or University-level entrance test score. Specialisations for which merit based admission is given are: Home Science (HDFS) and Home Science (Food & Nutrition). For the remaining 26 specialisations entrance test scores are considered.

To apply for Dr Br Ambedkar Open University MSc course, candidates must have passed BSc or bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or its equivalent from any Indian University recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). BRAOU application process for the MSc programme is conducted in online mode.
