Hello!

Yes, you can pursue an M.Sc. in Mathematics from IGNOU even if you have completed B.Tech in Biotechnology, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. IGNOU generally requires candidates to have a background in Mathematics at the undergraduate level. Since you have completed 3 math papers in your B.Tech course, you might be eligible, but it's important to check the specific requirements for the M.Sc. Mathematics programme on IGNOU's official website.

I will recommend reaching out to IGNOU's admission office to confirm your eligibility and any additional requirements for your case.

Good luck with your application!

Some of the good central universities for integrated B.Sc + M.Sc Mathematics are Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). Admissions usually take place by qualifying entrance exams like CUET or a test administered by the university in question; hence, a student has to check individual requirements in addition to timely application as per their guidelines.

In addition to their CUET UG, candidates can seek direct entries into the management quota and special provisions available in the Central University of Tamil Nadu by contacting them in response to alternative entry methods to the university. Further some universities may require additional eligibility standards or entrance exams in integrated M.Sc Mathematics. To this end, one ought to contact the relevant institute directly.
