Yes, It is mandatory for students willing to pursue MS in computer Science at UC Irvine . The motive of this examination is to asses the students capabilities based on their critical, analytical, creative and technical thinking along with their educational backgrounds. 

The scores are to be submitted through official scores since scanned or photo print outs are not acceptable by the institute.
