Admission will be granted purely based on merit obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Nirma University. Appearance in the Entrance Examination does not guarantee candidates for admission in the courses. The test will be based on the undergraduate syllabus of Life Sciences and Chemistry. There will be 100 objective type questions of 100 marks. The duration of the test is 1 and half hours. There will be no negative marking. Some popular entrance examination to get admission in this course are CUCET, BITSAT JNUEE PET.

NIT Trichy offers a two-year MSc course across four specialisations. This course is taught through the Department of Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. NIT Trichy accepts admission to MSc through the IIT JAM entrance exam, which is conducted by IITs for selection to MSc courses. The admission process gets completed with the CCMN Counselling round. MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) offers M.Tech courses in various specializations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Communication and Networking, Computer Network Engineering, Software Engineering, etc. To apply for M.Tech course at MSRIT, candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).
