According to media reports, IIT Patna MTech average package recorded during the placement drive 2025-26 was INR 16.2 LPA. An increase of 7.32% was witnessed as compared with last year. 

As per the placement brochure 2024-25 for the IIT Patna placements, the average package offered during IIT Patna placements 2024 MTech program stood at around INR 15 LPA. The MTech placement rate in 2024 was 61.01%.

The median salary was INR 8.4 lakh. Goldman Sachs and Nutanix are some of the top companies.  

The institute has released specialisation-wise placement details for the MTech batch 2021-23. Of all the specialisations, Aerospace Engineering in Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics, Avionics in VLSI and Microsystems and Earth & Space Science Engineering in Geoinformatics recorded a 100% placement rate. LIT Nagpur offers great placement opportunities to the students pursuing M.Tech in their University.
