Yes, the NIT Kurukshetra offers MTech programme with specializations and it is a two-year programme covering a comprehensive study and research with respect to the chosen area of specialisation. The course curriculum introduces knowledge about the recent trends and most advanced technologies prevailing in the branch. The admissions in M.Tech at NIT Kurukshetra are strictly based on the entrance examination, with due weightage given to the relevant qualifying examination and Personal Interview (PI). Students who have eligibility criteria can get into this admission process by clearing the entrance examination and PI rounds. The NIT Kurukshetra CCMN cutoff 2025 is finally out for round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to the M.Sc. specialisations, for different categories belonging to the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the highest and the lowest cutoffs were 1625 and 278, respectively. The most competitive cutoff was for admission to the M.Sc. in Economics.

Yes, NIT Kurukshetra offers various scholarships to its students. NIT Kurukshetra students can avail of Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students, and Alumni Association Scholarships.

There are various scholarships under Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, such as the OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship, which is given to the first three toppers (Engineering) and the first ten (Management) on the basis of performance.

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC students offers 26 merit scholarships, and 52 merit-cum-means scholarships are awarded by the institute for each year of BTech degree courses. In addition to these, National Scholarships, Post-metric Scholarship, and many other stipends are awarded by various Government institutions and other agencies.

NITK also offers Alumni Association awards. There are 5 scholarships (one each in the disciplines of Civil, Computer, Electronics Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering) of the value of INR 2400 per annum that are open to all regular BTech students of the institute.

Yes, the students may come to NIT Kurukshetra after completion of Class 12 by passing JEE Main. Applicants should have studied PCM or PBM at 12 th grade. The seats are accessed using JEE Main rank by the process of JoSAA counselling. There will be only the entrance test to take admission and not according to the Marks obtained in Class 12.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced
