It is a good institute for learning. Placements are also offered through the institute however, you may apply through various job portals as there are lots of vacancies and opportunities available in the mechanical field.

You need to score at least 95 percentile to get admission in a good NIT or IIT. For admission to other institutes even 60 percentile is accepted. However, better the institute higher the percentile is required.

Your son should apply for a good job in power sector as there are many opportunities in that field. Further, he can pursue a job as per his organisational requirement or he can pursue MBA for administrative and managerial posts.

You can pursue M.Tech in ME or Automation or IT.

Almost all NIT and IIT offer part time M.Tech but you have to attend the evening classes. That means you must choose the IIT or NIT near to your home town so that you can attend the classes.

Presently biotechnology, cyber security and cyber forensic is trending in requirement and you will be able to gain latest technical knowledge on these subjects in the US. You can try for these subjects.

Hi,
In terms of requirement of engineers - industry requires them in two levels. In junior level, they recruit Diploma engineer and B.Tech/ BE for senior levels. As you are in the mind set of job, your B.Tech degree is strong enough to fetch you a job in equivalent level.
