GATE is not a prerequisite for applying to SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur's M.Tech programmes. Admission to SRMIST's M.Tech programmes is contingent upon meeting certain requirements, including qualifying exam scores (e.g., 12th grade or equivalent), direct admissions based on academic performance, and results from entrance exams other than SRMJEEE (e.g., JEE Main, SAT, or other national/international entrance exams).
