No, M.Tech programme isn't free at NIT Sikkim. Candidates seeking to get admission are required to pay the tuition fee which ranges between INR 1.4 lakh, the fees excludes of Eamination Fee of Semester Registration Fee,  Library Fee,  Laboratory Fee, Internet Fee, etc. However NIT Sikkim does have scholarship schemes for students. The cutoff is for General category candidates in the All India quota at the National Institute of Technology Sikkim. For the OBC AI category, the cutoff was 377. As per the details collated from various sources on the internet, a student must have a GATE rank up to 200 or below for admission to M.Tech at IIT Kanpur.  While there is no minimum GATE score for IIT admission, the minimum rank/ score requirement depends completely on the individual institutes participating in the admission process. The total tuition fee for M.Tech courses at IIT Kanpur ranges between INR 20,000 to INR 77,000. This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. But as per the official details and fee calculation as per the semester-wise fee break up available for 2021-22 academic year, the total fee for M.Tech stands close to INR 77,000. This amount is  inclusive of Hostel Seat Rent as per the guidelines issued by IIT Kanpur but is not inclusive of the Hostel Admission Fee components since day scholars are not charged hostel admission fee, hostel caution money, water charges and mess establishment charges.

The eligibility criteria for the M.Tech course at IIIT Allahabad is that the candidate must have a BTech/ MSc in an allied discipline from a recognised university/ institute with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent. The course is available in four main specialisations. The M.Tech specialisations are Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics, Bioinformatics, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
